Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm planning to disclose all specifics during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports stated the company was looking to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.

The company has not provided a response on the matter.
